No Fence Wetlands Hayfield Restoration Construction Begins. Drone Flight 6/2/2023.

This Drone Video shows the No Fence Wetlands as a hayfield 6/1/2023. Soon the No Fence Wetlands will be returning to more natural ecological systems. Before 1880s the ancient wetlands that were dominated by Beaver Ponds were converted to agricultural usage by diverting westside runoff and “Ditching” Schwartz Creek. Schwartz Creek can be seen along the edge of the hayfied defined by the brush. Some of the darker green areas shows where the old water channels and ponds were there before cattle grazing and haying for close to 100 years.
